July Data Updates

All Sanctions, Screening & Tariff Lists in One Place — Live in BITE

A month of change.
✅ Tariffs reinstated and raised across steel, aluminum, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and more — often hitting 25–50%.
✅ Bilateral deals struck with China, South Korea, the UK, and others — each with bespoke tariff terms.
✅ EU goods now face a 15% flat tariff, with limited exemptions for key materials like aircraft, chemicals, and critical minerals.
✅ The de minimis import exemption ($800) was eliminated, meaning even low-value imports now face duties (effective Aug 29).
✅ A 40% “circumvention tariff” now applies to goods rerouted through third countries to evade tariffs.
✅ Legal challenges are pending, but all measures remain in force, creating a high-risk regulatory environment for global trade.

On the screening and sanctions front:
✅ BIS added 11 Chinese entities to its Entity List (advanced tech & semiconductors), while removing several Indian organizations.
✅ OFAC expanded its sanctions list, adding dozens of individuals and entities tied to corruption, cyber, and evasion networks.
✅ New Data Security Program rules are in effect — requiring heightened due diligence on foreign partners and IT vendors.
✅ The EU amended its high-risk third-country list, adding jurisdictions like Bolivia and the UK Virgin Islands.

BITE is up-to-date on all of these July changes — searchable, filterable, and usable.
