Jake Walters

Jake is a software developer with BITE focusing heavily on the development and continuous improvement of the Application programming interface (API) used on the BITE app. Jake began working for NU Borders at the beginning of 2023 and was moved to the BITE team shortly after.

Prior to working at NU Borders Jake earned a Bachelores of Science in Biology from Central Michigan University following which he commissioned into the U.S. Army as a Logistics Officer. Jake served for nearly 5 years in various positions in the Army before transitioning back to a civilian and earning a certification in fullstack web development from Galvanize’s Operation Level Up.

Since shifting careers Jake has focused on opening himself up to as many new technologies and tools as he possibly can, with the goal of improving himself, and the products that he works on.
